The Medical and Life Sciences Research Fund supported trials led by Dr Ayman Bannaga at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and Leicester Royal Infirmary which aimed to aid in early diagnosis of liver cancer, Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Dr Bannaga has now had his funded work published in the medical journal: Cancers 2021, 13, 3786 and has completed his research fellowship in Hepatology.
